From the onset, we were quite impressed with Steve’s work ethic and attention to detail. He insisted on doing things the correct way, as structural safety was always paramount. As a dedicated ‘hands on’ contractor, Steve was always on site and his work was meticulous. Impressively, so was the work sight following the day’s work. Considering that our family lived at home during the construction, this was quite significant.

When we embarked on our kitchen renovation project, we didn’t know what to expect, we spoke to friends who have done it before and heard horror stories about scheduling, quality, expectations and prolonged inconvenience. We solicited multiple offers and decided to go with Apple Valley, not because they were the cheapest but because they ticked all the boxes for us. Steve made our experience as painless as it can be; to start with we only had to deal with him and not worry about managing a handful of trades, negotiating rates, coordinating schedules and following up for reworks and touch ups. Not only it was convenient but also very effective. With Steve you get reliability, dependability and peace of mind. We started our renovation in late November 2016, the worst possible time to start a major kitchen redesign, everything had to be ripped apart, the cold weather didn’t make it any easier but Steve certainly did, he treated our home with the utmost respect, making sure the space was very clean at the end of every single work day, and making all sorts of arrangements to minimize disruption to a family with three kids in grade school. The result was nothing short of amazing, everyone who saw our new kitchen was absolutely impressed.

An example that demonstrates the added value that Steve brings to a project is our floor, we had to patch the floor under the old kitchen and because of that we had to sand the entire first floor down, “teeth” the new slabs of wood into the old ones and refinish the whole thing. It was Steve who pointed out few spots where the finishing was not up to standard and he made the flooring company come back THREE times to fix various spots without any additional charge. Steve will protect your hard earned money and will guarantee the workmanship quality and execution of the entire project. Steve’s experience and knowledge are extensive when it comes to choices of materials, and advice around ways of doing things, he will let you know what works and what doesn’t and he will give you insight from the hundreds of past projects he delivered and even let you know where to get good deals and fair prices from appliances to building materials and supplies.
